This charming Lake District Cottage, dating back to the early 1600s, nestles in the picturesque Crake Valley. Within easy reach of Coniston water, central, southern and western fells and just a short drive from the Market town of Ulverston (birthplace of Stan Laurel).

We are surrounded by unspoilt countryside in  an area of outstanding beauty with panoramic views across the beautiful Crake Valley.

The atmosphere is relaxed and informal and your hosts Linda and Steve look forward to welcoming you to their sophisticated rural retreat in this lovely location. 
 
After a restful night's sleep awake refreshed and indulge yourself with a delicious breakfast cooked to order using fresh local produce. For those of you who are heading for the hills, we have a selection of walking books and maps, which you are welcome to borrow. A packed lunch can be provided upon request.

Eating out will be a treat as there are several country inns within the area, two within walking distance, all serving excellent food.

After 5 years of painstaking restoration and careful attention to detail, we have transformed our 17th century cottage into a unique period home.
